After 25 years of making records, my role as an envisioning curator and taste maker has become even more important than I initially imagined. Earlier on, I conceived my role as producer as the smart gate keeper, upholding standards of quality for our brand while helping individual artists provide a refined representation of their musical visions. Towards this end, over the past few years I have assembled players from of our own repertory theater company of musicians to construct a series of special collectives. These special records I believe succeed in presenting a wide variety of engaging performances specifically aimed towards bringing in new listeners to the audience, creating greater public demand for this musical art form.
