Jocelyn Gould is an accomplished guitarist and bandleader. Originally from Winnipeg, Canada, Jocelyn grew up in a musical family and spent her formative years as a vocalist, singing any chance she got. As a teenager, she became enthralled with the guitar and hasn’t put the instrument down since. After completing her Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies at the University of Manitoba, Jocelyn relocated to Michigan in an attempt to surround herself with the music that she loves. While completing her masters degree at Michigan State University, Jocelyn began to develop her sound and musical values of swing, blues, soul, attitude, and groove. Mentored by acclaimed guitarist Randy Napoleon, Jocelyn studied the guitar playing of Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, Kenny Burrell and Joe Pass.
